Call for proposals
The University of the Basque Country/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea Foundation organises the Summer Courses that will celebrate their XXXV Edition in 2016.
The Mission of the Summer Courses is:
- the university extension,
- the updating of professional knowledge with special attention to teacher training at all levels,
- inter-university relations, and
- offering a space for critical thought around an ever-changing society which contributes to the progress of the Country,
The XXXV Edition of the Summer Courses will take place in the three Basque Autonomous Community provinces and we hope to have, as on previous occasions, the collaboration of both public and private bodies.
The 2016 edition will be strongly marked by San Sebastian’s Year as European Capital of Culture. The UPV/EHU Summer Courses, in conjunction with the DSS2016EU Foundation, wishes to offer a space for debate and analysis around Peace, Life and Voices Lighthouses; namely, around coexistence, mutual understanding, human rights, diversity, sustainability and welfare.
At the same time, we will work to cover all disciplines of knowledge, promote presence of the Basque language, and move forward in participatory learning methodologies.
We hope that between all of us we can make the XXXV Edition a success.
